United Concordia Dental Value-Added Program Helps Cover College Tuition
Jul 22, 2019
“By introducing this new program, we’re demonstrating how much we appreciate the relationships we’ve built with our customers."

HARRISBURG, Pa. (July 22, 2019) – A new value-added offering from United Concordia Dental gives policyholders who are covered by a plan that includes the program a way to help afford the cost of tuition at more than 400 private colleges and universities.

United Concordia is partnering with SAGE Scholars to provide the College Tuition Benefit® program. Policyholders with a plan that includes this program will earn Tuition Rewards that can be used to offset the cost of sending a child or other family member to a participating college.

“By introducing this new program, we’re demonstrating how much we appreciate the relationships we’ve built with our customers. We want to help them cover the costs of sending their family members to college and give them another reason to continue doing business with us,” says United Concordia President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Constantine.

Tuition Rewards are awarded as points; each point is worth the equivalent of $1 in college tuition aid at participating schools. Those receiving points can redeem them for registered children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or god children, and extended family.

For example, if a family redeems 10,000 points for a student, the student will receive at least $10,000 in financial aid from a participating college, spread equally over his or her undergraduate education. Participating schools can combine Tuition Rewards points with other financial aid offers.

The College Tuition Benefit program is the product of SAGE Scholars/Tuition Rewards. SAGE Scholars was formed in 1997 with the purpose of promoting the values and affordability of private higher education. SAGE Scholars was started by visionary leaders with higher education experience, including the former head of admissions and financial aid at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Through its Tuition Rewards, the College Tuition Benefit program brings families, colleges and universities together to create college funding solutions. Tuition Rewards are subject to the terms and conditions of the program.
